Virta wins design/supply order for new rail-mounted fine copper ore tripper

Virta was awarded the design and supply of a new rail-mounted fine ore tripper to replace an existing unit at a copper mine crushing and screening facility. The new 60” belt-width, 8500 TPH tripper will include an undercarriage structurally modeled for optimum strength-to-weight and fatigue performance, extra-heavy-duty railcar wheels and axles, and a discharge chute modeled with DEM (discrete element modeling) to optimize flow and liner wear.
