Virta wins design/supply order for lithium ore conveyor system

Virta is pleased to announce an award from FLSmidth for the design and supply of a belt conveyor package as part of FLSmidth’s recent award from Ioneer for the supply of a lithium ore crushing, screening and leaching system for the Rhyolite Ridge project in Nevada, USA. Virta will engineer and supply four ore crushing circuit conveyors, a tripper conveyor, rail-mounted vat loading bridge conveyor, reclaim conveyor and two salt handling conveyors, including all mechanical equipment, structural steel, instrumentation, and dust suppression systems. The project is underway based on a limited notice to proceed (LNTP) basis, with the supply of the equipment packages being conditional on a final investment decision (FID) on the Project by Ioneer’s Board of Directors. Currently engineering completion of the conveyor system is expected in Q3 2021.
